Tom Brady's return to the Buccaneers moved Kyle Trask down the depth chart.
Trask was the Buccaneers' best starting quarterback option earlier this summer. Brady returned, and the club re-signed Blaine Gabbert, thus Trask isn't Brady's backup in 2022.
Trask was a 2021 second-round selection following a stellar 2020 at Florida.
He argued in a news conference Tuesday that Brady's comeback didn't change his job, even if it did.
Trask said Brady made the right option for his career at the time. "I'm thrilled to play football.
Trask claimed he can't control rumours about becoming Brady's backup in 2022.
