The DOJ alleges a North Texas man unlawfully resold over 90 weapons.
The firearms were eventually used in a killing, an assault, and other crimes in the U.S. and Canada, prosecutors allege.
Demontre Antwon Hackworth, 31, is charged with selling weapons without a licence and making false representations during a gun transaction.
ATF officers apprehended Hackworth in Dallas on June 10.
The DOJ claimed Hackworth obtained 92 weapons from federally licenced dealers, 75 from one dealer who subsequently lost their licence.
DOJ: Hackworth resold the firearms without a licence or background checks.
