Adam Schefter reported Wednesday that the Raiders are working out Colin Kaepernick this week.
Kaepernick wouldn't have played in the NFL since 2016 if he made the squad.
After he kneeled during the national anthem to protest social injustice, many thought the NFL would never accept Kaepernick back.
Last month, Raiders owner Mark Davis claimed Kaepernick "deserves every shot to become an NFL quarterback" and that he "would welcome him with open arms"
The issue is if Davis is serious about signing Kapernick or whether this is a typical Raiders effort to snub the NFL.
Questions remain about whether the 34-year-old can still play in the NFL after six years away.
