A SC lady requested for Mega Millions but received a winning Powerball ticket

At a Circle K convenience store/gas station, she inquired about Mega Millions tickets.

The clerk accidentally sold her a Powerball ticket, the South Carolina Education Lottery stated.

The improper lottery game paid off. The Irmo lady didn't win the multimillion-dollar jackpot, but she did win six figures.

The lady purchased the PowerPlay option for $1, increasing the jackpot to $250,000 when a "5" multiplier was drawn.

South Carolina allows lottery winners to remain anonymous, along with Delaware, Kansas, Georgia, Maryland, North Dakota, Ohio and Texas.

She didn't say how she'll spend the money, but she'll donate to groups she already supports.
